| EXPERIENCE IN U.K.
| |
I worked in Addenbrooke’s hospital for my first three years in U.K. from June 1998 to Dec. 1997. Here my training was considered equivalent to 5th and 6th year and I was allowed to give the past III surgical neurology exam. Addenbrooke’s is a leading centre for research. They six consultants. We had three operating theatres for daily use. Our yearly output was about 2000 to 2500 operations. I then moved to Morriston Hospital in Swansea(Wales). I worked here from Jan 1997 to June 1999. I worked here as a Trust Specialist having my own clinic and operating unsupervised. I also covered the consultants when they were on leave. This unit had three consultants and a yearly output of 950 to 1000 operations. |
